KG by Kurt Geiger T Bar Platform Sandals

Sandale T Bar bej (tan) marca KG by Kurt Geiger – le gasiti aici si costa 140£ (aprox. 810 ron – Imi pare rau :D, dati vina pe instabilitatea politica!).
KG by Kurt Geiger Tan Hibiscus T-Bar Platform Sandals – 140£, you can buy them here or here.

A while back (here) I was drooling over the pink version of these sandals:

I thought they were simply gorgeous, even though they weren’t exactly my style: I avoid suede for fear of ruining it and don’t usually go for shoes with embellishments, the pink colour is not the most versatile one around and the 140£ price…well, I hated it.

Since then, Asos has been nice enough to reduce that nasty, nasty price tag to a more do-able 84£ and stocks the sandals in black as well:

Even so, it’s not a price I could justify considering that I would probably end up wearing these sandals once a year, so I’ve resigned myself to the idea that they will never be mine. I just keep them in my wishlist where I can admire them and dream of the day when I can buy expensive and totally impractical  stuff.

All’s well that ends well, right?

Well, no. Because today, while I was browsing the Kurt Geiger website, I came upon the tan leather version of the sandals.

Pretty please?

And tan basically means nude for my currently tanned legs. So, just like that, these formerly whimsical, impractical sandals became footwear that would go with just about everything in my summer wardrobe. Not to mention that the T-Bar style has lately become somewhat of an obsession with me (I love the retro feel of it, plus it’s supposed have a leg-lengthening effect). In short, a dream come true you might say.

Well, not exactly, I’m afraid: as the cruel fate would have it, this colour/ fabric is not available at Asos and everywhere else the sandals cost 140£, which regretfully isn’t a price tag I can afford at the moment (due to recent heavy shoe shopping :D). All I can do is hope that somebody somewhere will take pity and reduce the price to at least 84£. Pretty please?
