Shopping Time: Domnisoara Goe

EN: let’s call this look “The Spoiled Little Sailor” who really wanted a pink expensive bag. It’s actually inspired by a very famous Romanian short story called Dl. Goe (Mr. Goe), written by I.L. Caragiale and published in 1900. It is in fact so famous that the name “Goe” has become in Romanian a synonym for spoiled brat. The main character is described as wearing a sailor outfit, complete with boater hat.

Downtown Horses

Rochie cu spatele gol/ Cut-out back dress: Sugarhill Boutique (Asos)
Geanta postas/ Satchel bag: Pieces (Asos)

Sper sa nu-i mai vad pana in noiembrie!

I admit it, I have somewhat of an obsession with open and cut-out back dresses :). And if such a dress happens to be turquoise as well (my favourite colour), it will most likely not stop very long in one of my never-ending wishlists, but will soon start its air journey towards a sweet place called home (aka my closet).

Sugarhill Boutique is in my opinion one of the cutest brands distributed by Asos. The dress in the pics is no longer in stock, but another Sugarhill Boutique dress that I like a lot can still be found here.

I have already talked about summer boots – which I adore! I would just like to state for the record that even though this week has been chillier than last week, I’ve bravely stood my ground and still haven’t worn tights (hopefully I won’t have to wear them till November)!

The Curious Case of the Missing Ring

Curea elastica cu funda/ Elastic belt with bowEtic (Unirea Shopping Center)
Geanta postas/ Satchel bag: Pieces (Asos)

I was planning to name this post something like “Yey, no more tights!” or “Yey, it’s finally spring” (something including “yey” at any rate, as a sign of my joy that it’s finally sunny and warm).
In the end I chose the current title to mark the happy ending of a potentially tragic story related to my beloved accessory – the black Murano glass ring: at the end of the photo session for this post I dropped the ring in the parking lot and only realized it about 2 hours later; my mother (the innocent victim in charge of taking the photos) insisted that we go back for it and, amazingly enough, there it was, the poor guy, under the very same car under which it had fallen, still in pretty good shape!

Regarding my outfit: the warm weather during the last few days has enabled me to finally get rid of the tights (which I hate!) and wear my “summer” boots. They are extremely practical and I wear them a lot (with dresses, skirts and shorts) during spring and autumn in fact (summer – not so much), when the mornings and evenings are still too chilly for ballerinas or sandals. They really do keep you warm enough to allow for bare legs.
